Plain and specific. This notice matches the sign-up form field for field. If they ever disagree, the form is wrong and we fix it.
What the form collects
- Your name
- Your email address
- The role you chose from the list
- Your school or state, if you give it
- What you'd help with, if you write anything (up to 300 characters)
- Who sent you, if you say (a first name or a handle)
- That you confirmed you're 18 or over
That's all. The form asks for no health information, no date of birth and no phone number. Please don't put health information in the free-text box. If you do, we delete it.
Where it's kept, and who sees it
It's kept in Kit, the email service ChiroMovement uses to send updates. Kit stores it on our behalf under its own privacy policy. Within ChiroMovement, Ben, who runs it, is the only person who sees it.
What it's used for
ChiroMovement updates and invitations to hangouts. Nothing else. We don't sell it, rent it or share it with anyone: not schools, not associations, not the Kaleidoscope. We don't add you to any other mailing list.
Adults only
Sign-up is for adults, 18 and over. We don't knowingly keep anything from anyone younger. If we learn that someone under 18 signed up, we delete their record. Younger students are reached through their schools, counselors and clubs, never through this form.
How to leave
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. To have your record deleted rather than just unsubscribed, reply to any ChiroMovement email and say so; we delete it from Kit.
This website
- No cookies. This site sets none.
- No trackers. No advertising, social or third-party analytics scripts. Today the site counts nothing at all. If we add a visit counter, it will be cookieless, it will store nothing that identifies you, and it will be named here before it runs.
- Fonts. The page's typefaces load from Google Fonts. As with any web request, Google receives your IP address and browser details to deliver them.
- Hosting. This site is hosted on GitLab Pages. GitLab keeps standard server logs under its own privacy policy.
- Hangout registration. Registration happens on another platform, shown next to each date, under that platform's own privacy policy: [BEN: name the hangout platform once chosen].
Links to the Kaleidoscope
The Kaleidoscope is a separate site with its own privacy notice. Nothing you give ChiroMovement is passed to it.
Changes
When this notice changes, the date below changes, and so does the form if it needs to.
