ChiroMovement

The profession, on offense.

ChiroMovement exists to grow chiropractic's presence in schools and colleges, and to represent the profession with integrity, transparency and connection.

Ask anyone in chiropractic how people find their way in, and you'll get a story, not a document. A car accident. A friend who wouldn't drop it. Nobody wrote the path down, so each of us found it by luck, or because one person opened a door.

We counted what's published about the path: the agreements between undergraduate colleges and chiropractic programs, read page by page. What the count showed is on the record, with its sources, and it isn't ours to restate here.

What's published about the path, as of : the agreements themselves, in the Kaleidoscope's pathway lookup.

Why no one else can fix it

A chiropractic college admits and trains, and it can't be on every campus. An undergraduate college advises from frameworks written for all of health care. A high school counsels toward what it can see. An association serves its members, and you aren't one yet. A chiropractor treats patients, and opening the office to a student is a gift nobody asks for.

Every one of them is doing the job it was given. The gap sits between the jobs. The only people who cross that gap every year are students, and the alumni they become.

What on offense means

Presence. Chiropractic present in high schools, community colleges and universities, as a path you can see, ask about and walk toward.

Your role

A module makes you a customer. A role makes you a participant. Pick the way of working that's most you right now (scientist, thinker, artist, teacher or entrepreneur), and take three things to do with it this year, each small enough to finish.

The hangout

Once a month, on a video call, we ask one question, two people tell their way in, and we do one small thing together, live.

Who runs this

ChiroMovement is run by Ben Glass, a chiropractor in Oakland, California, who started it as a chiropractic student. It is part of ChiroTrack, which sells programs for students and chiropractors. Nothing you give ChiroMovement goes to ChiroTrack's other lists.

My story

I almost never found chiropractic. A car accident put me in a chiropractic office for the first time; I got better and wrote it off. Two years later I walked out of a physician assistant interview, saw a chiropractic office inside a gym, went in and watched. I've been practicing since . The whole reason this exists is so the next person doesn't need the accident.
