Ways to help
These roles are for adults, 18 and over. Each one is described in plain words: what you'd do. Nothing comes with any of them: no pay, no title to put on a résumé, no listing, no credential. People do this because they want the profession to grow.
Bring chiropractic to your school
Students under 18 are never asked to sign up for anything here. They're reached through the adults who already serve them: counselors, teachers, advisors and club sponsors. If you're one of those adults, you can ask for a chiropractor to visit a class or a club, for help describing the profession in your career materials, or for the Kaleidoscope pages that answer your students' questions. Join and say so in the last box.
Host or speak
Student ambassador at your chiropractic college
You're enrolled at a chiropractic college. You help students on your campus find hangouts, pass along what students elsewhere are doing, and tell us what your campus would want to talk about. You speak for yourself, not for your college.
Club host
You lead or sponsor a club: a pre-health club at a university or community college, or a club at a chiropractic college. You host a meeting or a hangout on a topic, and invite a chiropractor or a chiropractic student to join it.
Practicing chiropractor who opens their office to visitors
You're a licensed doctor of chiropractic (DC). You let students, advisors or teachers visit your office to see what the work looks like on an ordinary day, and you answer their questions honestly, including the hard ones about cost and business.
Advisor or teacher
You advise students or teach them, in a high school, a community college or a university. You tell us what your students ask and what your materials say, and you help us reach students through your school rather than around it.
Association partner
You work for a state or national chiropractic association. You might co-host a hangout for your state, point your members toward the roles above, or help schools in your state find a chiropractor who will visit: any of these, as much or as little as suits you. This works alongside your association's own student outreach, not around it. ChiroMovement never uses an association's name or logo without its written approval.
Hangout speaker
You know one topic well: a pathway, a postgraduate route, a club tradition, how practice works in your state. You lead a hangout on it, starting from the Kaleidoscope's pages and ending with what people can do.
What we ask of everyone
- Represent the profession with integrity: say what you know, and say when you don't.
- Never rank a school, program or person on ChiroMovement's behalf.
- Never collect information from anyone under 18 on ChiroMovement's behalf.
- For facts, point people to the Kaleidoscope rather than restating them from memory.
